Blooms - Remembering

Room 16 have used blooms to help them remember the different parts of a boat.
They have inserted the boat into powerpoint and correctly labeled it.

Come to Mt Roskill!

Room 16 have been researching immigration to New Zealand in the 1800s. They have created advertisements to encourage travelers to come to Mt Roskill identifying all the wonderful features of our suburb.

The History of our Community - 1840 - 1880

Room 16 has been given the challenge to research what was happening in Mt Roskill (Auckland) between 1840 and 1880.

This was an important time in New Zealand - the Treaty of Waitangi was signed, William Hobson chose Auckland as the site for the new capital, and thousands of immigrants were arriving each year to start up a new life.

Auckland Zoo

In the holidays on Thursday, my mum, my brother Dylan and I went to Auckland Zoo. When we reached there I was so excited that I just rushed up the hill like mad! After we got the tickets we went inside and the fun began.

Friends and Fun

The first week I kept going out to parks for having breakfast. Lots of kind of parks with different families they have daughters my about my age.
The second week I kept on going to my friends houses. We keep on changing houses. On Thursday It was my turn.

Raining holidays

In the holidays it rained alot. I went to the warehouse and bought socks and clothes. Another time we went to a restaurant and I ate fried rice. It was really yummy. I had a great holiday.

Mini Golf Fun

In the holidays I went to minigolf with my Sister, and my Dad and my uncle. It was my uncle’s first time. I had trouble on the 9^th hole but got a hole in 1 on the 10^th hole. At the end my dad won the minigolf adventure I came 3^rd and tied with my sister.

In the first week my two older brothers Isaac and Jacob

New Plymouth

On Wednesday I woke up and my dad said we are going to New Plymouth. I was so happy that I came out of bed last and got ready first. We stayed at Amber Court motel. We also went up Mount Taranaki.

Brother's Birthday

In the holidays my little brother had his 4th birthday party and our friends came over. He had 4 birthday presents and a chocolate cake.

In the holiday I went to the wave pools, I went with my friends. We went to the slide and I went backwards and I hit my head on the wall. We went to the waves. Then we went home.

The Movies

Hello everybody, I’m Arian, and I’m going to tell you about my school holiday. On Wednesday, on a normal morning, (at least I thought so) my mum told me some unexpected news. WE WERE GOING TO THE MOVIES!!! “Oh yeah! Uh huh!” I shouted. After 15 minutes we were in our seats, waiting for the movie to begin. Oh, the suspense was killing me! I thought. After 2 minutes the movie had begun!!! 2 hours later the movie finished. (By the way, I was watching Horton hears a who) when we got back home, I felt that the movie I watched would stick in my mind forever.

Chipmunks

In the holidays I went to Chipmunks with Oscar. I played with my friends Jia, Kinari and my other friend. I was a bit upset I didn’t bring any money to buy anything. After a while we went to the drinking fountain to get a drink. I never knew there was a drinking fountain there. Then we went back to Oscar.

Lynnmall

In the holidays I went shopping at Lynn mall. First I ate noodles at Hollywood café.
Then me and my sister looked around for my Mum. Then we went to foodtown.After that we went back home. When I was in the car my sister said when she was little she was colouring a picture of the zoo then she showed it to the teacher and she said the sky is not blue and when she was doing Diary Writing she said dairy wring ok let’s do dairy writing. Later I went home.

Holidays

I went to lots of parks and I played a lot. I went to the zoo and saw lots of animals. In the house I watched television. I went to the beach that was in the city.

McDonalds

In the holidays I went to McDonalds with all my family except for my dad. The first thing I did was run across the road to the playground. Then after 3 minutes, one of my mums friends came with their children.

On the last day of the school holidays I got a new 54piece art Set that was pretty cool. I took my friend to another friends shop we bought a k:zone

Sleepover Fun

In the holiday I went to my friends house for 2 days sleepover. On the first day we went to the movies to watch Horton Hear’s A Who it was funny and little bit sad. The next day we went to the wave pools boy was it fun! I had the greatest sleepover ever.

I just wanted to update our class blog, I wanna tell you guys what I

did in the holidays. First of all I was really bored on the first 2

days but then it got better I had swimming everyday.

And on Tuesday right after swimming I got to go to the movies with my friend Shneel

My birthday in the holidays !!

I had an awesome birthday party in the term 1 school holidays!! We went to Sylvia park to get some presents for me then we went to a fancy restaurant to get some real fancy special food for me!! Then we went to Motat ( it is a science amusement park) we had loads of fun there we went on this earthquake thing ride it was fun assss !!!!! We also went on Voyager 1 a special ride it was cool!!! That was the best day ever !!!!

Hi my name is Sarkshi. In the holidays the most exciting place I went to is Paradise.

First I was quite nervous because it was my first time skating. As the time moved on and on I got courage and brave. I was with my cousins which made more exciting.
